A Rapidemo project is one portable file with your recordings, edits and settings. Projects auto-save; open, rename, back up or delete them at any time.
One portable file
A project is a single file that contains your whole project: all your recordings, edits and settings. You can move it to another folder, copy it to another PC, back it up, or send it to a teammate, and it opens complete, with nothing missing.
A project is created automatically when a recording ends.
Auto-save
Projects save automatically while you edit. There is no manual save step, and closing the editor never loses your work.
Open a project
The Recent projects list on the Open Project tab of Rapidemo’s start screen shows your projects with their name and file path. From here you can Open, Export or Delete each project. You can also open any project file directly from your computer.
Rename, copy and delete
Rename the project with the button in the editor’s title bar, or with F2. The name appears in the Recent projects list.
To copy or back up a project, click its file path in the Recent projects list to reveal the file in File Explorer, then copy it. You can also Export a copy of the project file to a location you choose. Either copy is self-contained, like the original.
Delete a project from the Recent projects list or the editor title bar. Rapidemo asks for confirmation first.
Opening a project from a newer version
If a project was made with a newer version of Rapidemo than you’re running, update the app to open it.
