Open the Screen recording properties to customize how your captured screen appears in the final video.

Default zoom

Default zoom sets how large your screen recording appears before any zoom animation runs. Zooms then apply on top of it.

Above 1x you also choose the point the video zooms toward, so you can frame the part of the screen that matters and leave the rest out.

Padding, border radius and shadow

The Padding setting controls how large your screen recording appears in the video. More padding reveals more of the background.

The Border radius control gives your recording rounded corners.

The Shadow control adjusts the drop shadow intensity of the screen recording. Set it to 0% to remove the shadow completely.

Cropping

Crop video removes unwanted parts of the picture, for example the taskbar. Select an area by resizing and moving the blue rectangle, or enter Left, Right, Top and Bottom pixel values at the bottom.

Cropping cuts away parts of the image. It never removes time from the video. To cut time, split or resize Clips instead.
