Record a window

To record a specific window on your screen, use the dropdown to select it and click Start recording .

The Rapidemo recorder

If the desired window doesn't appear in the dropdown or if you get an error when trying to record, click Refresh and try again.

If you use virtual desktops, make sure to move Rapidemo to the desktop that the desired window is on and click Refresh .

Currently, Rapidemo can only capture the primary display. Support for multi-monitor setups is planned for an upcoming update.

You might see a warning when downloading or installing Rapidemo. Sorry about that!

The reason for this warning is that Rapidemo is still new and it's code signing certificate needs to build trust. Unfortunately this isn't as easy as it sounds - I've documented the journey a bit on X if you're interested.
