What is specific to Galaxy Books
A recorder of their own. Samsung’s Screen Recorder app is the only vendor recorder in this series. It is limited to Galaxy Book4 and Book5 on Windows 11 with One UI 6.0 or later, records the full screen rather than a region, and includes the webcam and S Pen ink. Samsung’s support page lists no hotkey, output folder, format or audio options, which is why the steps above send you to the app’s own tutorial for those.
The Samsung Settings app. Fn hotkeys on Galaxy Books depend on the right Settings app from the Microsoft Store: Samsung Settings, Samsung Settings 1.1 or Book Settings, depending on the model. Without it, the F-row icons do nothing. F12 is the Fn Lock on current models; older variants put Airplane mode or Quick Search there.
Blocking Recording mode. The Galaxy Book Pro maps F11 to a privacy mode that disables the camera and microphone. The name reads like a recorder; it is the opposite.
Nothing conflicts. Samsung documents no hotkey that collides with Win + Alt + R, Win + Shift + R or Win + G.
Where the files go
Game Bar writes MP4 clips to Videos > Captures. The Snipping Tool saves under Videos > Screen Recordings by default and shows the folder in its settings. The Samsung app shows its own folder in its settings.
From a raw clip to a video you can publish
Samsung’s app and the Windows tools produce raw footage. For a tutorial or a product demo, Rapidemo records the same screen on your Galaxy Book and adds zoom on clicks, cursor smoothing, subtitles and a camera overlay while you record. The full Windows guide compares every method; system audio and camera and microphone cover the setup.
