Here's what's new and what's next for Rapidemo. Welcome to the September update!
What's new ✨

Many of you asked for it, now it's here!

Masking lets you select areas of your video that will be blurred, ideal for sensitive data like email addresses. To use masks, switch to the new masking timeline mode and create a mask by double-clicking or via the context menu.
Reposition and customize the blur strength, color and opacity by selecting the mask.
🎯Manual zoom centering buttons
A small but useful change: Now it's super simple to center the focus of your manual zooms with the help of some centering buttons!

🐛Bug fixes and improvements
Software development is like a Rubik's cube: make a change on one side and all other sides change too. This month I've fixed some of the side effects of the big October update.
Clips with faster payback speeds are now previewed as you'd expect, and gaps between clips are handled too. Moving the cursor or timeline elements after zooming in or out now works more reliably, and merge right works again.
There was an issue where presets weren't applied properly - that's fixed too.
I've also fixed the restart recording button, and, last but not least, I've made some changes to improve performance and stability of the UI.
There are many more bug fixes, you can dig into them in the Rapidemo changelog.
What's next 🔮
The next big topic I want to tackle is recording system audio, another feature that's highly requested since a long time.
As always, I'll post my progress on X !
That's it for the September update! Let me know what you think. I'm planning to write a post every month to keep you in the loop about Rapidemo development (and to keep myself accountable 😁).
Feel free to shoot me a DM on X if you have some feedback to share.
Back to coding! 👨💻
