I just wanted to give a little update on what I've been working on for Rapidemo this month!
What's new ✨
🤝Shareable Projects
Projects are now saved to a file that's easily shareable and contains all assets. Collaboration in teams and using Rapidemo with multi-device setups is much easier now.
⬅️Undo / Redo
Undo / redo functionality was a MUCH requested feature. I'm really happy it's finally part of the editor. It only took basically a complete rebuild of the app 😂

🔃Restart and cancel recordings
Recordings can now be restarted or discarded directly from the recorder window. It's really easy to record multiple takes quickly now.

🪞Flip camera video
The camera video can now be mirrored. Especially with side-by-side layouts this is quite useful I think!

🌱Lifetime license renewal
Update period of the lifetime license expired but don't want to miss out on the latest features? Now you can extend the update period from your account!
🎓Student discounts
Educational discounts are officially here! I was granting student discounts before but now it's a bit more formalized. Have a friend that visits uni and might be interested? Feel free to share Rapidemo with them!
What's next 👨💻
I'm currently working on a pretty big and much requested feature: link sharing! When exporting a video Rapidemo will generate a link you can share in messengers, or wherever you like without dealing with an MP4 video file!
👨🏼💻Day 1 of building link sharing.

I started adding an export queue!
I realized link sharing really only makes sense together with bulk exporting, so that after clicking export and generating a link, I can go back to the editor and work on something else while the video is… pic.twitter.com/O2O9JHxyYc
As a "collateral" feature I'm also adding bulk exports. This means you'll be able to queue multiple exports and the videos will be rendered sequentially. While Rapidemo is exporting your videos you can walk away from your computer or do something else. The exports can come from the same project (e.g. different aspect ratios), or different projects.
That's it for the May update! I'm planning to post one update per month to keep you in the loop about Rapidemo development (and to keep myself accountable 😁).
As always, feel free to shoot me a DM on X if you have some feedback to share.
Back to coding! 👨💻
