Here's what's new and what's next for Rapidemo. Welcome to the October update!

What's new ✨

🔊System audio

Recording system audio was suggested by many of you and now it's finally here!

With system audio recording enabled, your PC's sounds are captured while recording. In the editor, system audio will show up as part of clip timeline elements.

🎚️Audio mixing

If you have recorded any audio (microphone, system audio or both), audio mixing is available in the editor.

Clip with audio mixing controls

Select a clip and adjust volume levels of each audio source. Rapidemo supports separate volume configurations for each clip.

🐛Bug fixes and improvements

Besides system audio, I've made many stability-focused changes to Rapidemo.

You'll notice that many UI elements are more responsive and that general performance of the app has improved.

I've also fixed a handful of bugs like projects that sometimes didn't open, and camera recordings that were truncated at the end.

Rapidemo now has some automatic file and folder permission checks, especially helpful on computers with limited user accounts (e.g. company computers).

Feel free to take a look at the full list of changes in the Rapidemo changelog.

What's next 🔮

I haven't selected the next bigger feature to build for Rapidemo yet, as I'm still cleaning up some bugs and loose ends to improve reliability.

Let me know what you'd like to see next via the feature board !

As always, I'll post what I'm up to on X !

That's it for the October update! Let me know what you think. I'm planning to write a post every month to keep you in the loop about Rapidemo development (and to keep myself accountable 😁).

Feel free to shoot me a DM on X if you have some feedback to share.

Back to coding! 👨‍💻
