Here's what's new and what's next for Rapidemo. Welcome to the July update!

This month is a big one. Scenes, a feature many of you have been asking for, is here: combine multiple recordings into a single video, right inside Rapidemo. On top of that, editor hotkeys are now customizable, and shared videos play right where you paste them.

What’s new ✨

🎬 Scenes

It’s finally here!

A project can now hold multiple recordings, played back-to-back on one timeline. Record new Scenes in place, pull in existing projects, or duplicate a Scene, then join them with adjustable dip-to-black fades. Each Scene keeps its own look, and everything stays one portable file. No external editing tool needed.

⌨️ Customizable hotkeys

Editor hotkeys are now customizable: click Change on any action and press the combination you want. If your muscle memory comes from another editor, you can now use the same shortcuts.

🔗 Paste-to-play links

Sharing a video used to mean sending a link people had to click. Now you can just paste a share link into tools like Notion, Discord, Telegram and iMessage, and it turns into a live player right away.

📋 Copy embed code

Want your video on your own website or blog? Click the new Copy embed code button on the video page, paste the snippet into your site, and the player shows up ready to play.

📊 In case you missed it: the case study

Last month I published the first Rapidemo case study, and if you skipped it, it’s worth a look.

It’s about how Joiin, a financial reporting SaaS, uses Rapidemo for their support and sales demo videos. Before using Rapidemo, Harry, their Head of Customer Success, used to pay an outside editor £500 per how-to video. Now he records them himself in one take, which by his own calculations paid for five years of Rapidemo in a single recording.

What’s next 🔮

I’m really happy, Scenes have finally shipped. Next month is all about the small stuff: a run of little improvements and the feature suggestions that keep piling up.
