Welcome to the first update of 2026! Here's what's new and what's next for Rapidemo.
January was quieter than usual. I spent most of it working on something big behind the scenes, more on that later!
But first, I’d like to thank you. Your feature suggestions, bug reports, and feedback shape Rapidemo into something truly useful. I’m grateful to have you along for the ride!
What’s new ✨
🎚️Microphone volume indicators
Rapidemo now shows microphone volume indicators in two places.
You see them in the preview before hitting record…
…and while recording.
This ensures your audio levels are right before and while recording.
🏷️Source indicators
Rapidemo now shows clear labels for each input during setup. You’ll see which inputs will be recorded at a glance: screen, camera, microphone, and system audio.
🐛Bug fixes and improvements
I fixed an issue with camera and microphone detection. Devices are now detected correctly.
As always, you can check out the full details in the Rapidemo changelog.
What’s next 🔮
Remember that teaser from December? I’m ready to share what I’ve been working on: 3D clips!
This feature lets you apply dramatic, animated 3D angles to your screen recordings, perfect to make your marketing and launch videos stand out!
Under the hood it’s a pretty big change, and very much still a work in progress.
I’m excited about where it’s headed, I’ll share more details as I continue development.
As always, I’ll post my progress on X!
That’s it for the January update! Let me know what you think. I’ll keep writing these monthly posts to keep you in the loop (and keep myself accountable 😁).
Send me an email or a DM on X if you have feedback.
Here’s to an exciting 2026! 🚀
